The rain spoiled our picnic.

这场雨弄得我们的野餐一团糟。

spoil
有溺爱的意思(看下例),也有搞糟,弄糟的意思。

例:
He gives whatever his son asks for, that can only spoil his child.
他孩子要什么他就给什么,这只会宠坏他的孩子。
Don't tell Tom that we are preparing a birthday party for him, it will  spoil the surprise.
不要告诉汤拇我们正为他整备生日派对,这会失去惊喜的。
